Marie Munk’s My Heart Will Go On and On at Kongens Nytorv
Galleri Maria Friis are proud to announce that the gallery’s represented artist Marie Munk unveils her monumental sculpture My Heart Will Go On and On at Kongens Nytorv today 03.09.2025.
This year’s Golden Days Festival, which has just begun, this year interprets the theme of love in a myriad of ways. A giant red heart. A mechanical 3D printer arm. And a longing for love that lasts forever. During the festival, artist Marie Munk enlarges the ultimate symbol of love and lets the anatomical heart merge with the clichéd foil balloon. The result is a biotechnological heart, optimised for a new era of love. During the opening, you can experience a classic interpretation of Celine Dion’s power ballad, and the event continues at Galleri Maria Friis, where Munk is currently exhibiting “Radical Purge”.
