Metamorphosing Tactility

A group exhibition with Valérie Collart, Ursula Nistrup and Lotte Henriksen

Valérie Collart’s porcelain and plaster sculptures are inspired by natural forms, such as seashells, which are wrapped in textiles before casting. The resulting forms appear simultaneously hard and soft, fragile yet powerful. Drawing inspiration from surrealism, Collart interprets nature and explores the veiled and mutable.

Ursula Nistrup and Lotte Henriksen’s silk sculptures are like floating metamorphoses in space. Some have found their place on the wall, while others float like waves from the ceiling. A blush-colored silk twists around itself, reminiscent of a butterfly pupa or perhaps a piece of hanging meat developing its flavor.

We look forward to welcoming you to a sensuous and poetic exhibition focused on materiality. Collart’s, Nistrup’s and Henriksen’s works invite you to a haptic experience, as if you could feel their shifting textures with your gaze.
